Shaveta Malik, MD and Shilpa Jain worked with the Hemophilia Center of Western New York to open the Specialized Hematology Experts (SHE) clinic in an effort to grow awareness and improve diagnosis of bleeding disorders among girls and women.
It is one of only a handful of clinics in the country specifically targeted towards educating and diagnosing women who may be unaware that their symptoms may actually be caused by a diagnosable disorder that can be treated.
